I am a Registered Nurse. For years, I worked in a long Term Care Facility in Joliet, IL as a Wound Nurse. A little over a year ago I left Long Term Care looking for a new, less stressful career. I eventually landed in a wonderful company called WoundRounds. I Train other nurses how to use their product to manage and reduce the wounds in their facilities. I have been fighting Lupus since 1996. I have tried everything from traditional medications to homeopathic treatment, trying to control my disease. I have been obese, (yes, I admit that) for many years. I have blamed everything from my "genes" to my illness for being fat. Now that I have found a lifestyle that can control not only my weight, but my Lupus, I am in it for the long haul.
My hobbies are running the sound system at my church, and I am the Pathfinder Director for our church. Pathfinders is an organization similar to the scout program. It is co-ed and is run through our church.
